On meeting the basic eligibility requirements, we offer apprenticeship programmes each designed to give you real skills, real qualifications, and real career momentum. Over 50 different apprenticeships align to roles across Haven, so there's genuinely something for you, whatever your interests or aspirations. 

But it goes deeper than that. We work with schools and communities to create early career pathways that make sense. We partner with Youth Employment UK to ensure young people have access to genuine opportunities, brilliant mentoring, and support that matters.

Early Career Story

Jemma South, People Services Administrator

I started with Haven through the kickstart scheme in June 2021 after a long battle trying to find employment during the pandemic. I found it very difficult to leave secondary school education to find a full-time job that could offer me the stability and progression that I was craving, I just didn’t know where to begin.

Previous to Haven, I had no experience in HR, however the resourcing team took me under their wing and provided me with excellent support, encouragement and mentoring throughout my 6-month placement, during this I learnt a world of knowledge. On completion of my kickstart scheme, I was offered a full time, permanent position within the resourcing team which I was so happy to take!

 

In 2023 I moved from the resourcing team to a People Administration role, which has opened a second realm of career opportunity for me. Within this role, I am doing a level 3 apprenticeship in data analytics which is helping me develop specific technical skills that will be forever valuable to my career. This chapter of my learning has been incredibly interesting, and I am so thankful for the opportunities and guidance I have been given to put me on a path that utilises my strengths and interests.

The culture at Haven is brilliant, the core values that Haven strive towards are something I can really relate to, and I feel them in every interaction that I have around the office. I have felt so supported and positively encouraged from the day I started, and they have always prioritised my personal development - they really practice what they preach!
