I started with Haven through the kickstart scheme in June 2021 after a long battle trying to find employment during the pandemic. I found it very difficult on leaving education to find a full-time job that could offer me the stability and progression that I was craving, I just didn’t know where to begin.
Previous to Haven, I had no experience in HR, however the resourcing team took me under their wing and provided me with excellent support, encouragement and mentoring throughout my 6-month placement. On completion of my kickstart scheme, I was offered a full time, permanent position within the resourcing team which I was so happy to take!
I have been in my current role for just over 6 months, and I am now in the process of starting one of our Level 3 qualification apprenticeships, which I am so eager to begin in order further my career development within Haven.
The culture at Haven is brilliant, the core values that Haven strive towards are something I can really relate to, and I feel them in every interaction that I have around the office. I have felt so supported and positively encouraged from the day I started, and they really practice what they preach.
